Terms of use
Last updated: [date]
These terms are between you and [legal name of the company] (“we”, “us”), the maker of Two Little Ears. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What the app does
Two Little Ears reads picture books aloud. You photograph the pages of a book, and the app reads each page aloud in a recorded voice or in an AI voice made on your phone. The app does not come with books.
Your books and recordings
- Use the app with books you own, for your family. The app is for reading your own books to your own children at home. Don’t use it to copy, share or publish other people’s books.
- What you make is yours. Your photos, recordings and readings stay on your phone, and we don’t receive them.
- Only record people who agree. Ask each person before you record their voice, and before you add their photo.
- Keep your own copy. Because everything is on your phone, a lost or broken phone can take your books with it. Use Settings → Your data → Export a copy to keep a copy somewhere safe.
Free books and Plus
- Your first 3 books are free, then you get 1 free book each month. Unused free books don’t carry over.
- Plus lets you add as many books as you like. It is a subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through Google Play or the App Store, and it renews until you cancel it there.
- Prices are shown by the store before you pay. Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the store, under its own terms.
- If Plus ends, every book you made stays on the bookshelf.
The AI voice and reading the words
The app reads the words in your photos and makes the AI voice on your phone. It can make mistakes, such as reading a word wrongly. Please listen to a book before you give it to your child, and fix any words that are wrong.
Using the app with children
The app is made for children aged 0 to 5, used with a parent or carer. Adding books, recording, settings, purchases and links out of the app are behind a parents’ screen. Please supervise your child’s use of the phone.
Our responsibility
We work to keep the app reliable, but we can’t promise that it will always work without problems. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. [Lawyer: limitation of liability, and terms for other countries the app is sold in.]
Changes
We may update these terms. We will put the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app if a change matters to how you use it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [New South Wales], Australia. Questions: [support@twolittleears.com], [legal name of the company, address].
